About Natasha Riddle Photography
Dash { - } It is a simple symbol but represents so much. It’s time we spend with our families, our friends, and all those in-between moments. It’s the morning cuddles, the late-night exhaustion, the shuffle off to school, and the work grind. So much of our lives are represented in the dash between when we were born and when we passed. Those are the moments I want to capture. Time moves so fast that the only way to help slow it down is to capture it at the moment and preserve it for years to come. I believe every moment is worth remembering, if not for the joy then from the lessons learned from it. The reflection of the past helps guide our future. My goal is to be there with you along your journey. From welcoming a baby into your family to capturing your kids as they grow up. The events that occur from birthdays to anniversaries to celebrations of life. I am here to serve you and your family.
MY WHY
I have been doing photography since my high school yearbook! I was drawn to it since my dad also loved photography. His business name was Shutterbug Photography! I then graduated and went on to nursing school still with my camera in tow but not actively pursuing photography by any means. The year I graduated college was a BIG year. I got engaged and had my first real professional photos taken, then my big brother followed right behind! He was set to get engaged at my dad’s cabin in Montana. My dad was going to hide in the bushes to get the shot. However, things did not go as he had planned. My father passed away as soon as my brother arrived at his house in Montana. It was unexpected and caught us all off guard. My husband and I immediately flew up to be with my brother and sort out his affairs. We convinced my brother to go through with the surprise engagement since that is what our dad would have wanted. So, I stepped in, hid in the bushes, and took their photos. I then went on to photograph their wedding. That was the true beginning of my photography business journey. I believe every family should have the option for nice, quality photos. The best photo I can find of my family growing up is in front of the Kmart concession stand with three guys dressed up in mascot costumes. I think photography should capture our true selves but in the best light. I want my images to be warm, joyful, and natural.
